Day 10

Don’t worry everyone, I’m not going to blog every day J this is just during our trip, once we are home my blogging will be less frequent!

This morning I had breakfast with my boy whilst daddy was at the gym. We are both trying to keep up with our work outs. First of all, I need to be fit to keep up with life as a mom and secondly it gives us both some me-time which is equally important.

Following breakfast we now introduce some “school time” to keep up with counting and writing and to provide some structure to the day. He doesn’t always feel like it but I give him a little break when he gets bored and go and do something else. He calls me when he is ready to continue.

We went back to the park today with our friends, this time we went to the play area of the park.

When you come in there is first a train ride, boy he loved that! He was so excited he hardly knew what to do with himself J the rest of the day every time the train passed he waved at everyone on it. After that we went on the roller coaster. Me sitting next to my son, crying behind my sunglasses because of the look of joy on his face. He wanted to go again and again but we only went once and he was ok with that. The rest of the afternoon we let him play in the play ground with his friend. He was great, only the normal naughtiness most boys display. On the way out we noticed another caucasian couple with an Indian child on the swings. He stopped and looked at them for a long time, he then pointed and said look a mommy and daddy. He was very fascinated by it.

We then went for an early lunch at UB city, this is the luxury mall in India where you can find all major designers and they have a nice outdoor restaurant corner.

When we came in I asked him to not go on the escalator just yet but he kinda got swept away by the escalator. He didn’t do it on purpose he was just going to pretend going up. I shrugged my shoulders and waved at him. Oh the sheer look of terror on his face and the crying, I quickly sped up the escalator to go and hold him and tell him how much mommy loves him. I can tell you he didn’t go again without waiting after that! We had a nice dinner at a French restaurant, I never thought I’d say this but I miss hearing French so I loved the French music on the background.

By the end of the day he was exhausted, I had to keep him awake during the ride home as I didn’t want him to experience another sleep terror.

Tomorrow we are going to his speech therapist and Friday we are flying to Kerala!
