Yesterday many candles were burning all over the world in support of our big day. The first court hearing ... in this hearing the scrutiny filed their report based on all the evidence collected.

This morning I received confirmation that the hearing went ahead (yeah) and that the next hearing has been scheduled for the 30th of November (big yeahJ). I was not entirely sure what would happen at the next hearing, perhaps more evidence would be required but it seems that no further evidence is required (bigger yeahJ). The next hearing Julian Raju will have to be present together with a representative from the orphanage and I have a feeling that it is very possible that the adoption will be pronounced on the 30th of November. After this we would need to wait for the written judgement and then the orphanage can apply for his passport and we can travel to India. It is hard to put a time on this but things are definitely moving in the right direction and I am quietly thinking about planning our trip to IndiaJ. Once the written judgement has been received we will embark on our journey and wait for the passport in India. I am still dreaming about Christmas in India but that might be perhaps a bit optimistic but you never know if all these prayers, thoughts, candles and vibes keep coming our way ... it might just happen J

We got up early this morning 7:30 and woke up J. As usually he comes for a cuddle in our bed, he loves it, he loves playing hide and seek with mommy under the duvet. We got dressed for breakfast and he was veering towards a mood but daddy managed to diffuse it by involving him in counting and preparing daddy’s supplements. Mission accomplished! We spoke to him that he needs to sit at the table during breakfast and not run to the swimming pool and he promised he would and he kept his promise. We arranged to go to the zoo today with our friends and whilst waiting for the taxi I showed him the videos I made at home from our dog and cat. He was super excited, kept kissing my computer screen, waving at the dog and petting them on the screen. So I’m not worried he will not like the animals J The zoo was great, we had a good time. frustration...

We had some bad news yesterday, where I thought our file had already long been filed in the court it appears now this is not the case. There seem to be more documents missing, I was so disappointed that another month has passed without anything happening and as per usual some of the documents are already in our file. I am waiting for clarification on what exactly is needed. At the same time the warden of the orphanage has passed away. We did not get a chance to meet this woman but judging from the reactions on facebook etc.. this was a wonderful person and I am sure the children and staff are going through a difficult time. I can't help but wonder what effect this lady had on Raju's life and if he is in any way going through a hard time. I feel so helpless not to be able to do anything. I hope we can clarify the missing documents before our trip to the US, I hate to think we would loose another month on administrative nonsense. I know it is not nonsense and it is important but ...

the end of our Kerala trip

The end of our Kerala trip is near... I can’t believe we’ve been here for seven days! Time seems to enter a whole new dimension when you become a parent; a day feels like five minutes. Kerala is beautiful and I wish we could stay here longer; we will definitely come back in the future. It is so peaceful and breathtaking. The food is delicious, the people are friendly, and although the air is more humid there is less pollution than in Bangalore. We had a fun week of swimming, walking, eating, sleeping and bonding. We made huge progress in the swimming, he has completely lost his fear of water and now loves jumping into the pool or going to sleep under the water with daddy. Every day things go better, we still have our moments though but they seem less frequent and they seem to pass quicker as well.
